1-800LoanMart Analyzes the Clippers Loss to Minnesota and Looks Forward to Clippers Road Trip

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012 Happy Leap Day from 1-800LoanMart! Today is your extra-day so save March for the real world and get psyched for tomorrow when 1-800LoanMart’s official partners the Los Angeles Clippers head out on another six day road trip. For now, we have a lot to discuss including the return of former Clipper Bobby Simmons to the Staples Center court and the Clippers heartbreaking loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Without further ado, let’s jump into 1-800LoanMart’s post-game report! Over the weekend, Chris Paul and Blake Griffin turned Orlando into Loblando and helped secure a sweet win for the Western Conference Team in the All-Star game. CP3 and the Griffster continued with that same energy last night. Griffin knocked up a game-high 30 points and Chris Paul nearly matched him with 27 big ones up on the board. The Clippers weren’t playing as a united team though and they just didn’t have the energy and defensive power to keep it going in the last quarter where they were defeated by the Timberwolves 109-97. The first half seemed like a sure thing for the Clippers especially when Minnesota’s forward, fellow All-Star Kevin Love, has to sit out early with a rib contusion. However, Michael Beasley and Derrick Williams proved unstoppable: both players pulled out 27 points each and played one of their best games this season. Everyone at the Staples Center, 1-800LoanMart included, was stoked to see Bobby Simmons back on the court, but with just one practice with the Clippers he was ill-suited to go up against Beasley and Williams in his first game back. Let’s hope Simmons can get back to the way he was playing in his 2004-05 season with the Clippers. Kenyon Martin started off a little awkwardly with the Clippers, but he’s been doing pretty great lately and hopefully Simmons can do the same. The Los Angeles Clippers begin their road trip Thursday against the Sacramento Kings, so be sure to join 1-800LoanMart and keep rooting for LA’s best basketball team, the Los Angeles Clippers!

1-800LoanMart Reviews Clippers All Stars Performances

Monday, February 27th, 2012 1-800LoanMart is here to provide you with a recap from the All Star weekend! There was lots of hype surround the NBA’s 61st All Star Game and the All Stars definitely lived up to the hype with one of the best games in the history of the All Star Game, mainly thanks to the official partners of 1-800LoanMart, the Clippers, and their All Stars Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. The best players came together for a weekend filled with skills competitions, dunk contests, The Rising Stars Game, and of course the All Star game. On Friday night Blake Griffin took part in the Rising Stars team for Team Shaq. During his 10 minutes of play Griffin had a powerful dunk after an amazing pass from teammate Ricky Rubio that put the crowd on their feet! 1-800LoanMart was happy to see that Griffin had a great performance, and understood that he only played 10 minutes so he would be well rested for the All Star Game. The big All Star Game was played on Sunday, and turned out to be a great game. The Clippers boasted two starters for the Western Conference – Blake Griffin and Chris Paul. The two players played vital roles throughout the game and helped lead the Western Conference to a narrow win that came down to the final seconds! Between Paul and Griffin they totaled 30 points, with the final score of the game coming in at 152 to 149. The Eastern Conference was down 21 points at one point, but Griffin secured the ball with seconds left in the last quarter and hit a crucial free throw to seal the deal. The All Star Game proved to be a great experience for 1-800LoanMart’s official partners the Los Angeles Clippers. The first half of the season is has come to an end, and the second half will begin on Tuesday for the Clippers. The Clippers will begin the second part of this season in first place in the Pacific Division. This Tuesday in Los Angles the Clippers will be hosting the Minnesota Timberwolves. Do not miss out on some of the great prizes and sweepstakes that 1-800LoanMart will be sponsoring throughout the season this year and let’s cheer on the Clippers to a great start for the second half of the season! httpvhd://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pEUYHAC-VtI

Clippers on a Roll and 1-800LoanMart Previews the Game Saturday

Friday, February 17th, 2012 1-800LoanMart is obviously a huge fan of the Los Angeles Clippers, that’s why 1-800LoanMart started sponsoring our favorite LA team, and we’ve been at the Staples Center many times to root for our guys. But I think last Wednesday’s game against the Washington Wizards was one of the most-anticipated games 1-800LoanMart has attended. The Clippers have been on a long and difficult road trip and you can’t imagine how much we’ve been looking forward to their return! The crowd was ecstatic as Blake and the rest of the guys stormed out on the court, ready to show the Wizards another beating they wouldn’t forget. The Clippers finished the game 102-84 and sent the Wizards back home with their tails between their legs. There was massive scoring all around: Blake Griffin dunked his way to a 23 point game total and Caron Butler continued scoring high—he reached a season-high 23 points against the Mavericks—with 21 points. Great win Clippers! After their win against the Wizards, the Clippers headed out to Portland to try and do some damage against the Trail Blazers up in the Pacific Northwest. Both teams were exhausted, but the Blazers were playing their third game in a road and the Clippers’ defense was a major nuisance to them in the second half. While many of the Clippers were struggling, Kenyon Martin was on fire and truly showed how much of an asset he will be to the Clippers in the months to come. Chris Paul also knocked away a 16-footer in the last minute that was the final nail in the coffin. httpvhd://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ovfg4gZoQc4   On Saturday the Clippers will be returning back home to play an early 12:30 pm (Pacific Time) game against the San Antonio Spurs. We will be cheering for the Clippers as usual, so look out for us and check out our new courtside signs! Let’s go Clippers and hopefully by Monday morning when we report on the game it will be a Clippers win!
